๐Ÿ” Vendor Accounts & Setup

1. Do Vendors need technical resources to get started?

No. eComNow - CBP sets up the Gift Up! accounts and manages the API key required for integration. No technical involvement is needed unless you choose advanced customization.

2. Can I manage multiple locations?

Yes. If required, each location can receive a separate Gift Up! account, all managed by eComNow - CBP Administrators.

3. Do I need to manage API keys?

No. eComNow - CBP Admin securely stores and uses the Gift Up! API keys for processing gift card orders per account.


๐Ÿ’ณ Payments & Fees

4. Who processes payments, and when do Vendors get paid?

Customer payments go through eComNow. ACH payouts are issued weekly to Vendor-designated bank accounts. Any amount above the discounted card value is directed to the allocated entities for profit sharing.

5. How often are payouts made?

Weekly via ACH, managed by eComNow for COG per card offer.

6. Who pays Gift Up! fees?

eComNow - CBP pays the transaction fees directly to Gift Up! per transaction by setting up payments in your Gift Up! accounts.

Note: This fee is calculated off full card value, not COG.

7. Is there a customer-facing service fee?

Yes, optionally. You can include a service fee at checkout to cover processing and program management, including the Gift Up! processing fee.

8. Can I track orders tied to my business?

Yes. Each order is attributed to your Gift Up! account and visible in your dashboard. Gift cards will also appear as inventory items in the eComNow Admin portal.

9. Can I customize the gift card branding?

Yes. Vendors can provide logo, color scheme, and styling for a fully branded digital card, to be configured and loaded by eComNow - CBP.

10. Who delivers the gift card to the customer?

Gift Up! sends the digital gift card directly to the customer via email, including redemption info, barcode, and Wallet integration.

11. What system emails are sent to Vendor?

  • Order confirmation to the vendor per order
  • Tracking and delivery emails are suppressed

12. Can I delay card delivery until after payment?

No. Cards are sent immediately after successful order placement. eComNow ensures payment clears before the order is submitted to Gift Up! for card issuance.

13. What does the customer receive?

  • Gift card code & barcode
  • Redemption link & balance checker
  • Option to add to Apple/Google Wallet

14. What are the POS system compatibility options?

Gift Up! natively supports: - Square - Shopify POS - Lightspeed X-Series - Tabology

Other platforms (e.g., Toast, Aloha, Micros) use manual redemption.

15. What if my POS doesnโ€™t support Gift Up! integration?

Use the Gift Up! mobile/web app at redeem.giftup.app and manually enter redeemed amounts into your POS.

16. How does redemption work at the register?

Option A: Integrated POS - Scan or type in the code - POS deducts the balance automatically - Redemption logged in real time

Option B: Manual POS - Customer shows gift card (email, print, Wallet) - Staff uses redeem.giftup.app to scan/enter code - Balance confirmed - Staff deducts manually in POS - Receipt issued normally

๐Ÿ’ก Use a POS label like โ€œeComNow GC Redeemโ€ for easy tracking.

17. Can I use barcode scanners?

Yes, if supported by your POS. Otherwise, enter codes manually.

18. Can I upload my own codes?

Yes. Merchants can upload pre-generated codes from their POS.

Steps: 1. Generate codes in POS (random/sequential) 2. Match values to gift card pricing (e.g., all $25) 3. Provide list of codes to eComNow to pre-load

Gift Up! will issue from this list as orders are placed.

19. Manual vs. API โ€” whatโ€™s the difference?

  • Manual: Easy to set up, ideal for small vendors
  • API: Allows real-time balance checks and POS sync, but requires additional development

20. How fast are codes/cards delivered?

Instantly upon purchase โ€” delivered via email to both customer and vendor.

21. Can multiple staff members receive order notifications?

Yes. We can configure multiple recipients per vendor.

22. What kind of support is available?

eComNow and Gift Up! provide: - Onboarding assistance - Ongoing support - API documentation for advanced setups

23. Are there any limits to locations or transactions?

No. Unlimited locations and transactions are supported.

24. How is fraud or disputes handled?

  • Verify redemptions via POS and Gift Up! dashboard
  • eComNow assists case-by-case

    Fully redeemed cards are immediately inactivated.

25. Can I monitor redemptions and balances in real-time?

Yes. The Gift Up! dashboard shows live transaction data, plus email notifications.

26. Can I give dashboard access to other team members?

Yes. Staff can be granted permission-based access to manage or view the Gift Up! accounts.
