Creating an External Page in Admin Panel
This documentation outlines the steps required to create an external page in the admin panel.
Step 1: Access Store Grouping
- Login to the admin panel.
- Navigate to the Store Grouping section from the admin dashboard. This is where you manage your store configurations, including widgets and external pages.
Step 2: Move to the Widgets Tab
- After accessing the Store Grouping section, move to the Widgets tab. The widgets tab allows you to manage various widgets associated with your store, including external pages.
- Click on the Widgets tab to proceed with creating a new widget.
Step 3: Create a New Widget
- In the Widgets tab, you will find an option to Create New Widget. Click on this option to begin the creation process.
- When prompted, select the widget type as External Page. This widget type is specifically designed to handle external URLs that you want to display in your store.
- Provide a name for the external page. The name should be descriptive and help identify the purpose of the page. For example, if it’s a contact page, name it "Contact Page" or something similar.
Step 4: Configure the External Page
- After selecting the widget type and naming your widget, you will be asked to load the external page. Enter the URL of the external page that you want to link to.
- You may also be provided with additional fields where you can add content or customize the display settings. Add the necessary content or any instructions you wish to appear on the page.
Step 5: Save the Configuration
- After completing the configuration for the external page, review all the details to ensure they are accurate.
- Once confirmed, click on the Save button to apply the changes.
The external page widget is now successfully created and will be accessible in the location defined within your store’s structure.
Creating external web pages on CBP Admin without inheriting the store template
Now, you can use our Information Page Module to create external pages easily. Here's how it works: Instead of using URLs like https://www.ecombeauty.com/store/6765/information/aboutus, you can now create a simple external page link. For example: https://www.ecombeauty.com/info/aboutus. This new link format removes the store number, displaying only the essential content without headers or footers. To create such web pages, you just need to know the "Information Name Alias." For instance, in the example above it's "aboutus". This process doesn't require advanced technical skills. If you're familiar with creating information pages in our admin panel, you're all set.
To edit information pages on your platform, follow these straightforward steps: Accessing Settings in Admin Panel: Log in to the admin panel of your platform using your credentials. Navigate to the settings section. This is located in the sidebar menu. Within the settings menu, look for an option labeled Information Pages. Click on it to proceed. Select the page you want to edit and click on Load page. Once the page loads, you will be in the editing interface. You can modify the existing content of the page. You can add, remove, or update text, images, or any other relevant information. Verify the page after saving to confirm that your changes are correctly applied. Remember, this functionality is managed at the CBP level, not the Group Customer level.
